Punjab Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (PAMETI), Ludhiana conducted a 15-days residential certificate course successfully in collaboration with MANAGE, Hyderabad to enhance the technical capacity of fertilizer dealers.

After this completion of training course, the trainees can start their own fertilizers related business under the Fertilizer Control Act, 1985 and they can provide more technical information to the farmers about the right choice of fertilizers in crops, quantity required, time of application and correct methods as well in a better way.

Sessions provided to trainees with a comprehensive understanding of balanced nutrient management, soil health deficiency symptoms of different nutrients, different sources of organic manures (FYM, green manuring, vermicompost, and crop residue), Importance of soil/water testing, Fertilizer control order 1985, handling, storage and transportation of fertilizers, functions of POS machines and field visits at farmers’ fields.
