The PAMETI solemnized the valedictory function of CCINM at its premises on 18thFebruary, 2026 upon successful completion of 15-days course which was conducted from 10th to 24thDecember, 2025 to enable the trainees for starting a fertilizer business.Dr. Kirpal Singh Aulakh, Former Vice Chancellor, PAU graced the occasion as ‘Chief Guest’.
Dr. K. B. Singh, Director, PAMETI, in his welcome address, while sharing the objectives of thiscertificate course,said that the programme was meant for practising as well as the new fertilizer dealers so that they can serve the farming community in a better way as para-extension workers.He informed that this is the second batch of CCINM programme on fertilizers dealers in Punjab which will play a vital role to enhance their routine working efficiency. The new venture as fertilizer dealers can be started after the completion of this course. He also shared the achievements of PAMETI with the trainees.
Dr. Kirpal Singh Aulakh shared his views and distributed away the certificates to the successful trainees. He congratulated the PAMETIand also the participants on successful completion of this CCINM programme. He motivated the participantswith his experience and saidthatby adopting the right technology for the use of fertilizers, agricultural extension work will get a huge response and more employment opportunities will be provided to the youth.

Dr. Baldev Singh Naurth, retired Joint Director Agriculture (inputs)-cum-Facilitator, CCINMshared his experiences of this course and its importance in future as the fertilizer dealers can provide more technical information to the farmers about the right choice of fertilizers in crops, right quantity required at right time of application and right methods for increasing fertilizer use efficiency and the decreased environment pollution. Dr Balwinder Singh Butarhi, ex-DSCO shared his views regarding this course. The participants also shared their experiences and appreciated the efforts put in by the PAMETI.
